Breakdown of a Magazine Cover


Masthead:
A masthead is usually found on the top left of a magazine cover. It acts as the magazine's logo and informs the audeince what the magazine is called.

Cover Lines:
Cove Lines are the headings which give a preview of the contents of the magazine and what the articles may be about.

Sub Heading:
Sub-heads are found below the cover lines and give fruther information on the articles inside the magazine.

Main Image:
The main image is usually an image of a celebrity which draws readers in. It is always related to the main article in the magazine.

Essential Information:
Essential information is usually found underneath the masthead or at the bottom right corner of the magazine cover. Essential information includes the full date and price of the magazine as well as the issue number.
